Realising Trauma and Tension
Mammals and humans are biologically designed to physically realease trauma and tension stored in the body. Through simple exercises, a response of involuntary movements is stimulated in the body giving a sense of a unique and pleasant discharge. These exercises are the result of observations, studies, and experience of experts caring for people suffering from moderate to severe trauma.
Why is it important to release the body? It is important because the body stores in its memory the traumatic experiences we have lived throughout our life. Trauma does not necessarily refer to a critical situation that we have gone through. In our daily life, there are events in our family, social or working environments that we can experience as mini traumas . When trauma is not physically released from our body, a constant state of alert or false alarm may be installed in the nervous system, wearing out many of our resources. Our body senses that it is of utmost importance to deal with this state of (false) emergency, so the repairing processes that the body needs to constantly perform now take second place.
Practicing these exercises is of great value because it helps regulate the nervous system. Some of the benefits observed are better sleep quality, higher levels of energy, a decrease in muscle pain, mood improvement, less irritability, less anxiety, decrease in headaches, a more appropriate response to stress, among others.
TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)
Realising Trauma and Tension
Mammals and humans are biologically designed to physically realease trauma and tension trauma y tensión del cuerpo.
Why is it important to release the body? When trauma is not released, a constant state of alert or (false) alarm may be installed in the nervous system, wearing out our healing resources. Our body then feels it needs to be more attentive to dealing with this state of false alarm rather than take care of the repairing processes that the body needs to constantly perform.
